John Pape Consulting was retained to prepare a comprehensive tree assessment and management plan for 220 Blue Oak trees “Quercus douglasii” located at the site of a future university campus in the Fresno, CA area.
The following scope of services and written report included:
- Identifying species of trees and verifying location by using existing survey provided by customer.
- Tree health and risk assessment, including visual ground inspection, estimated longevity, and pruning, removal, and/or maintenance recommendations.
- Identify trees in specific locations where they will be impacted by construction and recommend specific pre-construction tree preservation measures:
- Identifying Tree Protection Zone (TPZ)
- Soil and Root Protection with the TPZ
- TPZ Fencing
- Trunk Protection
- Irrigation
- Provide Oak Tree Management Plan per Fresno County
- Mitigation and/or succession planting recommendations
